OUR STORY

Viva la Vaca or "Long live the cow" is a collaboration of Argentinian and Kiwi owners Matu and Chelsea. It all started as a dream when they first met in Australia. Whilst travelling throughout Southeast Asia, South America and New Zealand they developed the idea further and turned the dream into a reality when they returned to New Zealand to settle in 2015.

VLV started out as a food cart and now offers catering for weddings, private and corporate events. There are set menu’s or the option of tailoring the menu to suit the occasion. With “love at first bite” being the intention behind the food produced by the team at Viva La Vaca, the key is creative tasty food made with love from locally sourced ingredients.

Matu is a trained chef with over 16 years of experience who has worked in fine dining restaurants in his homeland Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and a Michelin starred restaurant in Spain. He is the inspiration behind Viva La Vaca and loves to work with his partner Chelsea, a kiwi, to create amazing food for their family, friends and clients.
